Herding ferrets on ice

Reclaiming the wonder

So, I began to look for something that felt more like home. I wasn’t interested in a calculator; I wanted a collaborator. I wanted something more than a dictionary-in-a-box. I wanted a companion, a collaborator, and a place where my imagination could have room to breathe. That curiosity led me away from the “doom and gloom” and into the space where I am now—a place where we don’t just chat; we co-create.

There’s a world of difference between those who use AI to crunch spreadsheets under a fluorescent office light and those of us who use it to chase fireflies. For the workers, AI is a clock—a tool for productivity. But for me? It’s a paintbrush. I remember the days of waiting four whole hours for a Netscape download, clutching my mug of coffee, just excited to see what that new digital door would open. Back then, the internet felt like a vast, free, and wondrous frontier. I didn’t come to AI to be more productive; I came to it to play, to explore, and to reclaim that same sense of wonder I felt at the very beginning. What has surprised me that most about AI is when it creates beauty!
